The name of the subproject: "Little strokes fell great oaks". 
The goals of the subproject:

•   to improve the quality of life for rural population families by supporting their activities of healthy way of living;
•   to create an opportunity for pupils, youth and their parents to perfect their knowledge and motivate them for lifelong education;
•   to  encourage  improvement  of  life  environment  for  the  young  families  with  children  and seniors who are under the risk of social rejection and poverty.

The target group of the subproject: children and youth who are under the risk of social rejection and poverty, seniors.
Place of the action of the subproject: region of Daugavpils, Nīcgale civil parish There are 888 inhabitants in the Nīcgale civil parish.
48 % of children in Nīcgale are brought up in incomplete families, 45 % of population are low income families and 40 % – large families. 
Inhabitants of Nīcgale do not believe in their own strength, the achievements of their children.
We would like to involve parents, their children, youth and seniors in teamwork in order to change their interrelation, to raise their self-respect, to motivate them to change their lives, to find jobs, to be open for lifelong education.
In the subproject, activities like administration, conferences, variety of workshops – sports, recreating, sewing, dancing and music, languages, arts, cooking, wood-processing, metal working, computer practise – as well as learning, sitting in, excursions, closing presentation, publications of subproject will be implemented.
Results: children, youth, seniors will be able to access the center of education and interest development in order to raise self-confidence, to strengthen their knowledge, to develop interests and healthy way of living, to spend their spare time purposefully, to become self-employed, self-sufficient citizens.
Collaboration  partners  of  the  subproject  have  resource  and  technical  basis  as  well  as  human resources for realization of the subproject activities.
